Baby Two ~ Week 22

Yep. Officially lazy with the weekly photos... Poor second baby...
note the potty chair that David has absolutely NO interest in using. Even though he's totally ready.

How Far Along:  22 Weeks - Baby is the size of a papaya
Boy or Girl: Convinced it's a boy and will probably not change my mind. I've even stopped stressing myself out about picking a girl name because I'm so sure.
Maternity Clothes: In maternity clothes exclusively. I did try on some swimsuits tonight. I need a new one since the one I have isn't really good for wrangling a toddler without possible wardrobe malfunctions and he starts swim lessons in a couple weeks. You think regular swimsuit shopping is bad? Try going when you are 22 weeks pregnant. Hahahaha. Lol.
Sleep:Still pretty good! Didn't sleep very well on vacation though. I knew I should have brought my pregnancy pillow!
Best Moment: Finally got rid of my cold turned sinus infection!
Worst Moment: I hate to say it but our vacation to St. Louis was not the best time. David had a wicked case of the terrible twos the whole time and it was meltdown after meltdown. It is so strange because he's usually SO good for us. The whole time all I could keep thinking was "soon I'm going to have two of these...." It was exhausting.  I guess it wasn't ALL bad and he did have SOME fun. I'll try to recap that in a blog post soon.
Miss Anything:Being able to lug David around. He's so heavy now and it just totally wears me out to carry him anywhere but super short distances.
Movement: Lots more! Some small pops on the outside too. Most of the movement is still really low though.
Cravings: Ice cream!!  And nachos. And pizza.
Aversions: ground beef. I can't even think about it anymore. And still fast food. It leaves the worst after-taste.
Oh, I remember this: welcome back, heartburn.
Well this is new: Ugh! Oily skin! With David my skin looked awesome all the time. Not so much this time....
Looking forward to: Against my better judgement I am taking David to the lake this weekend. Zach's staying home (to hopefully CLEAR OUT THE BABY'S ROOM... RIGHT?!) and I'm going with my Dad and brothers. Fingers crossed for nice weather and minimal meltdowns!

Baby Two ~ Weeks 20 & 21

How Far Along:  20-21 Weeks - Baby was the size of a banana and then a pomegranate
Boy or Girl: Totally convinced it's a boy.
Maternity Clothes: Just ordered a few more tops. Now I just need a new swimsuit and I should be done with the new clothes nonsense.
Sleep: Have actually been sleeping GREAT!
Best Moment: We had our 20 week ultrasound and everything looks good! Baby is measuring right on track and was very cooperative so they got all the shots they needed on the first try. Weight was estimated at 14oz! We didn't find out if it was a boy or a girl so we missed watching a big chunk of the scan but we are just very happy to know baby is doing well.
Worst Moment: Having to decide to put my cat down. He was just getting too sick. It's been a week now and still doesn't feel real. Poor David doesn't get it and frequently asks where the kitty is and what happened to his litter box :( That, coupled with this horrible cold/sinus infection I've had the past 10 days has really sucked the life out of me this week.
Miss Anything: Having energy in the evenings. David is go-go-go and wants to be outside 24/7 (which is great!) but oh my word, it is exhausting trying to keep up sometimes.
Movement:We have quiet days and busy days. A couple times I've been able to feel actual body parts rolling around from the outside, usually early in the morning. So much sooner than with David!!
Cravings: Everything I'm "not supposed to have" - Deli sandwiches, soft serve, hotdogs. And still with the strawberry lemonades!
Aversions: Ground beef. Fast food.
Oh, I remember this: Getting up off the floor is taking quite a bit of effort these days!
Well this is new: Stairs! I hate stairs! When I was pregnant with David my office didn't really have stairs that I had to climb too much. This time I'm in a different building and I have to take two big flights of stairs multiple times a day. The elevator is way out of the way and I like the little extra bursts of exercise, but holy lord, I am a panting fool when I'm done walking up them. It's so pathetic!!!
Looking forward to:  Family vacation to St. Louis this weekend! We have a good amount of things planned and I think David is going to have a blast! Fingers crossed for good weather!

Baby Two ~ 19 Weeks

How Far Along:  19 Weeks - Baby is the size of a Mango
Boy or Girl: Feeling girl this week, but my brain is still convinced I will have a boy.
Maternity Clothes:Yep.
Sleep:  Hit or miss this week. I always wake up at 3am and have a hard time falling back asleep.
Best Moment: I had the day off work today because David's daycare was closed so we had a Mommy/David day. I took him to Deanna Rose and out to lunch. He had such a great time and the weather was perfect! I'm trying to squeeze in as many of these little day-dates as I can before the baby comes.
Worst Moment: I've been really moody and emotional this week.
Miss Anything: Being able to workout. My body just hates it. I get braxton hicks if I so much as take the dog for a walk.
Movement: Lots more this week! I am feeling it from the outside a lot more often now too!
Cravings: Sonic Strawberry Lemonade. Chocolate ice cream.
Aversions: Pretty much everything else. AND YET the pounds still keep on a coming.
Oh, I remember this: I really struggled with body image last time I was pregnant. Having the same woes this time again. I feel so fat. I just need to keep reminding myself that I can (and will) get rid of it after the baby comes. But right now, it's hard.
Well this is new: It's been a pretty standard week. I can't think of anything.
Looking forward to: hitting the halfway mark! I guess if history repeats itself and this baby comes a week early like David did, I'm already there! But, you just never know...babies have minds of their own :)

No pictures of me this week.  But here's a couple from the farm today.
